Hi Jon,

Thank you for your response. That is where where I disabled them. Thanks
again. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. Take care.

Or if it's internal you can just disable it in device manager.

Mike,

If you just unplug your card reader from the USB port it's plugged into,
they will go away.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Disabling card readers

Hi All,

I have several card readers label Removable Disk " E ", "F", "G", & "H" in
my list when I open My Computer from the desktop. They are listed under
Local Disk "C" and DVD Ram Drive "D". I never use these and would like to
disable them. In the Device Manager tree view I see 2 possibilities where
these card readers might be. Under Disk Drives or Storage volume. Would
someone please tell me which of these to open to disable these items? If I
am wrong would someone please tell me which heading to look under? I am
running XP3 Home, IE7, Office Home Jaws 10 & 11. All help will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
Mike
