You might consider a net book, which is a smaller version of the
laptop. Price wise, assuming you already own JAWS, that's probably your
best option.

hello members.
i go on holiday a few times a year and one of the hotels i stay at now
has wi fi.
therefore i am looking for a portable device that has jaws or system
access to connect to the hotel's internet service.
i know a lap top is capable of doing this but they can be rather heavy
to carry while using a white cane.
so i am looking for something else.
a lap top will do if nothing else is available
i would like an i pod but not found any with talking software for
menu's and field data entry such as field for credit card details
using online shopping.
is there such an i pod around that will suit my needs?
if not can someone recommend a portable machine that will serve the
requirements.
i am looking to buy one so if someone has such an item they can email
me offline.
failing that can anyone tell me where i may obtain this item?
it is essential that it has wi fi, and a screen reader jaws or system
access.
but above all else it does need to have voice on menu structure.
thank you
Yvonne

The XP Home drivers should work fine with XP Pro. We also have a
ThinkPad
and it is wonderful.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Installing IBM Think Pad Drivers.
Hi list, we just installed Windows on our laptop computer "Windows
Pro."
This laptop is an IBM Think/pad and we need to install drivers for it.
We have a copy of the drivers, but, we think that they are for
Windows XP
home instead of Pro.
Is there a difference and if so, how can we find an accessible site to
find the drivers.
We are using Jaws 7.00 and System Access.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
