Hi Paula,
Once in safe-mode, Start menu, then programs, or all programs,
then accessories, system tools, and then press enter on system restore.
Try to locate a date before the problem started.
If you are able to restore to an earlier time, and that does not correct the 
problem,
then it may be a hardware issue.

I can only start in safe mode, where do I find the restore point. It won't
let me do your first option.
