Hi Daleen, Unless that is a feature of the laptop, you won't be able to turn the display off. You may want to look in the control panel, under power options to see if the monitor can be turned off. Aside from that, it would be a utility that came with the laptop, and since I don't have one, I can't say for sure. Hi all Can any one be of asistance on how to get my screen switched off and to stay off until I give the command to switch on on a compaq 615 laptop? I found a program nircmd.exe, but the screen goes on as soon as I touch the mouse pad or press a key. There is also no function key combination I know of that will do it on this laptop. Any ideas please?
