Marilyn,

The check prints out same as if you were printing on paper. He just tapes it to paper since you can't put a check in the paper tray it's too small. He creates a template in Word what he wants on the check, paid to the order...date..dollar mount..memo..signature...guess he prints that too??

The computer sees the word text and the printer command prints what it sees, no scanning is involved..

You might get a check guide from independent living aids.

Allen, since we're on the topic, I'd like to get a replacement for a check
writing guide with raised edges around the opening with a flap cover. Does
anyone know where to get one? I like your idea of printing out the check
but do you scan it first as image so the writing comes through? I'm a bit
confused about how one could then read the check copy. marilyn

: Dear Patricia,
: Yes, that's it!
: And I have a doc file of the transaction!
:
: I know a lot of people like using the On-Line Banking, or Telephone
Banking,
: and I do use the telephone Banking to get my balance, check my deposits,
: find what checks have cleared, etc., etc.,
:
: But I still like to have a copy of the check itself!
:
: And although of course they do not give you checks back any longer, they
: give you pictures of them!
: At least my bank still does!
:
: Oh yes, for those times away from my house, I have a real neat Check
Writing
: guide!
: It is so cool!
: I really "dig it"!
: LOL!
: With Best Regards,
