The checkbox you checked has nothing to do with what happen. The fact that it is or isn't in the tray also doesn't matter. What happened will not happen all of the time just as long as you keep your definitions up to date.

I checked a box in the preffrances think it was on either the scan tab or the general tab to have it look like xp or soemthing like that. Now just a few minutes ago, after turning on my computer, it gave me a check for updateds saying it had been 7 days since last updated, so I allowed for that, then it wanted a scan thing done and again I did that, but just wondering if this is going to be the same ordeal each time I boot up and does this have anything to do with the box I checked for the xp and should I put it back in the sys-tray?
