Hi Patricia;

If the check box for SAS to scan on start-up is checked that is probably why
it took a little longer for Windows / Jaws to get going. Also, if you
running XP and you check the box " use XP style menues " the program
recognizes that you are running XP and everytime you open general options
the XP will be unchecked. In other words, you can check that use XP style
menues box until the cows come home and it won't stay checked. Take care.
Mike

  Subject: [Blind-Computing] Super Anti-spyware

I downloaded the Super antispyware and it was in the system's tray, but I
noticed that Jaws 11 seem to take longer before speaking when first
booting
up my computer*xp pro* than normal, so I removed it from the system's
tray.

I checked a box in the preffrances think it was on either the scan tab or
the general tab to have it look like xp or soemthing like that. Now just a
few minutes ago, after turning on my computer, it gave me a check for
updateds saying it had been 7 days since last updated, so I allowed for
that, then it wanted a scan thing done and again I did that, but just
wondering if this is going to be the same ordeal each time I boot up and
does this have anything to do with the box I checked for the xp and should
I
put it back in the sys-tray?

  Thanks,

  Patricia
