That will only work if you're online at all times, and if your own machine won't be blocked from public access by your provider, your router, etc. etc.

If you look into Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS)
everything you need to setup an HTTP (or HTPS) web site and FTp file
transfer access is right there. No need to mess with third party file
transfer services.

    My girlfriend is so kind that she records books and articles for
me. They tend to be bigger then what the E-Mail services like however.
So, I was wondering how hard it would be to create a personal website
that she could up load to and I could down load the files from.
