You need to make sure that you have the upgraded version of your player.
It needs to be version 2 for the bookshelf to appear.
To check the version press the sleep button ten times rapidly.
If you need to upgrade, find the message I sent yesterday with the links to
do so.

I have a tidbit from nls. When you try to install the upgrade,
the file
name "upgrade will be on your flash drive. If you want to hear
the serial
number spoken and the current firmware version, press the sleep
button 10
times. I don't know if this applies to the advanced players.
