I have never seen drivers for a DVD drive. I'm sure some exists, but PCs
I had; the drive just worked.

fixing the driver or should I just go out and get a different drive? If I
delete the driver will it automatically find the drive and install the newest
driver?
My DVD drive is an Optiarc DV RW AD-7530a ATA device.
