Sorry Arianna and everybody for the delay in replying. I had a short
trip and came back just now.
You don't need the phone Arianna, you can use either Skype or MSN or any
other voip program that allows you to speak and hear someone via
Internet connection.
Concerning the tutorial, if not for my poor English, i could give it a
try...
LOL
All the best

Hamid, so if I'm working with someone in another town or state or
country, I'll have to be on the phone with that person so I can hear
what Jaws is saying on their computer.
Still and all, it is one way for us blind teachers or techs to help
those who need it.
Maybe when someone much more intelligent than I figures out all the
keystrokes that will make using this good program more accessible,
that person could write a little tutorial for us late bloomers?

Hi Arianna,
Yeah, that's exactly what you want, you want to hear the other
machine's Jaws speaking so that you know what's going on on the
distant computer. You don't need your jaws while working on the other
machine. As soon as you get your job done, swich to your computer by
hitting the scroll lock.
Another thing folks, while manipulating the distant machine, you will
not be able to use alt tab to swich between the open windows in your
client's computer, you should first hit windows key + tab once, then
releace them and start using alt tab just then. If you start alt
tabbing without hitting the mentioned keystroke first, you can not
swich between open applications.
Again, sorry if i am a bit confused in guiding you, but that's how i
learned it, just by experementing
Good luck

Hamid, I tried team viewer and was able to get into another
computer. However, my computer using Jaws did not talk, so how can I
get Jaws to talk so I can function on another computer? The
computer I accessed did talk, so it was fine on his end. I hope
this is clear to you?

Hi there,
There is a free program called team viewer that enables one person
to control another's machine. This program is designed essencially
for the sighted user, however, I tested it with jaws and it works
quite well, in fact there are still some few things one can not do
on the client's machine especially performing specific jaws
hotKeys, but i was able to fix nearly everything that needed to be
fixed on that distant machine.

Hi chris,
If you also purchase their remote incident manager, this is
definitely possible. I got a trial and it worked.
I connected to another computer and was able to do things
including transfer files as well as monitor things the user was
doing on the other end.

Ok, does System Access allow such possibilities? Connecting to
users who
have no screen readers installed?

Hi, why can't you use JAWS Tandem? Are you running JAWS versions
other
than 10 or later?

Good morning listers,
I am currently a jaws user. And am looking at serotek's system
access products.
The main reason for this is that I am interested in their remote
incident manager for doing remote access into other systems to
provide support. Does anyone have experience and could help me
compare sa to jaws.
Also I have a pacmate Braille display. I realize that this won't
work with sa and interested in displays that people are using
with sa.
Thanks
