I can not say if it was jaws or team viewer. I used Jaws 11 the other
day while the distant computer had jaws 10. I worked with many other
jaws 10 versions before and after that day, but it was the first and
hope will not be the last time that all the keystrokes worked including
jaws specific combinations.
Thanks Negoslav for your contribution...

Thank you for telling us the way we can use team viewer.
If I find the way to pass all the keystroeks to the other computer
I'll shout it out here.
Could it be the teamviewer or jaws version that made the difference?

Hi Negoslav,
Yeah you are right... I have mentioned that in the first message in
this thread. I said that jaws specific keystrokes are not working on
the distant computer. However, this team viewer is really the best
free program that helped me fix other's problems remotely. Before i
got hold of it, i used to spend a long time guiding the client to do
things i could perform myself in very few minutes. Sometimes i have
to ask the client to hit some keystrokes for me, however, i really
could do so much work with it.
Believe it or not, once while I was playing with a distant computer,
I found out that even the jaws keystrokes worked, I was astonished as
it was the first time that I could make them to work. I tried my best
to figure out how come they did work but unfortunately I couldn't.
I'm still confused until today about how did they work? Was it just a
cquencidence? Did I hit unconciously a combination of keys which made
them to function? I really don't know. I am still hoping that
someday, I or someone else could get the secret and wow... how great
would that be if we could do everything on the distant computer...
Good luck

I found that I'm not able to read text with word and team viewer. I
was not able to read text in web sites also. It seems that no jaws
key combinations or keys for text and web navigation will work. What
I meen? For example you can't use insert+f2 to show the jaws manager
list. You can't use arrows to read by word, insert+down arrow to
read all and so on. In web pages you can't use h to navigate by
heading, you cant read the text using arrow keys, no navigation keys
at all, accept tab to move by links.
Anyway, it's a good and free alternative for jaws tandem in spite of
all the imperfections for us as blind people.
I found that in the controling window we have menues we can activate
using the jaws cursor. EVen there is possibility to transmit audio
signal from our machine, but it wouldn't be nesessary for us. The
file transfers are not accessible for the blind recepiant.

Hi Arianna,
Yeah, that's exactly what you want, you want to hear the other
machine's Jaws speaking so that you know what's going on on the
distant computer. You don't need your jaws while working on the
other machine. As soon as you get your job done, swich to your
computer by hitting the scroll lock.
Another thing folks, while manipulating the distant machine, you
will not be able to use alt tab to swich between the open windows
in your client's computer, you should first hit windows key + tab
once, then releace them and start using alt tab just then. If you
start alt tabbing without hitting the mentioned keystroke first,
you can not swich between open applications.
Again, sorry if i am a bit confused in guiding you, but that's how
i learned it, just by experementing
Good luck

Hamid, I tried team viewer and was able to get into another

this is clear to you?

Hi there,
There is a free program called team viewer that enables one
person to control another's machine. This program is designed
essencially for the sighted user, however, I tested it with jaws
and it works quite well, in fact there are still some few things
one can not do on the client's machine especially performing
specific jaws hotKeys, but i was able to fix nearly everything
that needed to be fixed on that distant machine.

Hi chris,
If you also purchase their remote incident manager, this is
definitely possible. I got a trial and it worked.
I connected to another computer and was able to do things
including transfer files as well as monitor things the user was
doing on the other end.

Ok, does System Access allow such possibilities? Connecting to
users who
have no screen readers installed?

Hi, why can't you use JAWS Tandem? Are you running JAWS
versions other
than 10 or later?

Good morning listers,
I am currently a jaws user. And am looking at serotek's system
access products.
The main reason for this is that I am interested in their
remote incident manager for doing remote access into other
systems to provide support. Does anyone have experience and
could help me compare sa to jaws.
Also I have a pacmate Braille display. I realize that this
won't work with sa and interested in displays that people are
using with sa.
