[Blind-Computing] windows 7 slow and help with live male

Hi all
I  mannage to install  win7 on my laptop with a lot of frustration and find 
it slow.
Also I find windows live mail even worse when I try to move messages into my 
old folders.  I also cannot get to my old folders by pressing the first 
letter.
Can any one please help or direct me to help on the internet?
Also, is windows live mail the same as windows mail?
