Hi David; When your friend went to the Tree Biew it starts out with saying Windows Open, X amount of items, then he/she arrows down passed the X amount of items, then Jaws will read Windows Explorer, X amount of items, then he/she will come to Microsoft Office X amount of items. Well, somewhere between the end of the Windows Open choices and the Microsoft Office choices should be the Avast file/folder with its sounds. Actually these sounds should be installed into the Media folder. The Media folder is where all the Microsoft sounds are stored. This is found in the Windows folder in the root of the C Drive. If the sounds are not in the Media folder they won't be int list of sounds. When installing the Avast program, was there an option to install the sounds, and perhaps it was overlooked? If the sounds are not in the Media folder look in the Avast or Alwill folder in Program files on the C Drive to see if they are in there. Is it possible that your friend got a bad download? I am sorry if I am being vague with my information but, I haven't used Avast in quite some time. Why don't your friend try using MSSE? Personally I like it much more than Avast. Anyway, I hope you get whatever your friend chooses to work. Take care. Mike
