Hi Francis;
Here is a tip for when you run / install the pico-0.1.exe file. I tried
running it from where I had saved it from the download and not all of the
folders installed in the right place so, therefore the new synthesizer
didn't show up in the list of synthesizers in NVDA. I did this using 2
computers running XPSP3 Home
Here is how I got everything to work correctly;
1. After downloading / saving the the pico-0.1.exe file, I went to where
it
was saved & cut it from that folder.
2. Now, paste it into the
synthDrivers folder. This folder canbe be found in Local Disk C /
Documents& Settings / YourName or Owner folder / applications / NVDA /
synthDrivers.
3. With the file / program pasted into the synthDrivers folder, run the
program.
4. You should now be able to select it from the synthesizer list, combo
box
found in preferences / synthesizer in the NVDA program.
Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

What is the website to download Pico? I tried
pico.com
but got a company dealing with exhibition stands and things related.

I've downloaded this not so long ago so you may search for
pico-0.1.exe
or just for pico.
Try this and tell us what you find.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] synthesizer for NVDA
Hi, everyone,
Yesterday I downloaded a synthesizer called Svox Pico for NVDA and now I
can't find it. I wanted to install it and extract the files so I could
try out the human voice. I've done everything from a windows search to
looking in the control panel for the synthesizer and can't find it at
all. What do I do now?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Rosemarie
