Depending on version of office, MS document imaging can also carry out on the image file without printing, and rescanning.

Right click, open with, choose paint, from there, file menu, save as, change file type to .tif, and then generally hitting enter on new version should sort of open it in microsoft document imaging, and from there, tools menu, recognize text using OCR, then also on tools menu, send text to word, change whatever options you want there, and it should come up in either a word document, or an HTML file.

Stay well

If you know the JPG has text in it, there are several options, depending on
what you have installed on your computer.

If you have Kurzweill, you can print it using the KESI virtual printer,
which will take the image, virtually scan it, then OCR the text on it and
make it readable.

I believe Open Book also has this feature, but don't quote me on that.

If you don't have any of these packages, you can print the image, then scan
it using the Microsoft Office Document Scanner found in the tools sub-menu
in the Microsoft Office Start button menu.

Open up the scanner, make sure that the TWAIN scanner option is selected and
configured, then scan the image with a press of the scan button.

At this point, the Microsoft Document Image Viewer will open up, where
you'll have the option to send the recognized text to word or not.

There are some free alternatives out there, especially if you own an iPhone, but, as I've seen with previous messages, external devices is not the topic
of this list.

In any case, I'm sure if you Google document OCR and the word free, you'll
get no end of results. Some may be shareware/freeware, and others may be a
trial version, but at least you'll know what you have available to you.

Hope this helps.
