i just did that but can't find some of the programs some are in the windows
p for programs some are not
not sure how i can find out if the programs had been deleted earlier
resulting in the shortcut/icon remaining on the desktop

I am pritty sure that it will only remove the icon called recover to the
recycle bin and not the entire program.
is the icon called recover listed in your start menue also?
if it is then I think it is all right to delete it.

thank you for that for example i have one called recover
jaws said do i want to send recover to the recycle bin?
it did not say recycle icon or shortcut to recover.
not sure if i should say yes in case it removes the entire program
what do you think?
will it remove the entire program or just the short cut to it

to remove an unwanted icon from your desk top just high light it and
press
delete.
and if it asks if you want to send the icon to the recycle bin just click
on yes and it will be removed.

i clicked on one and it asked if i want to send the program to the
recycle
bin
should it not of said do i want to send shortcut to the recycle bin?
