You can do the same step you did to rename the icon
just highlight the renamed icon and tap the application key and arrow up to rename and give it the original name or any name you wishh
also f2 is the rename key too!

hi,
I am not sure how you can return the shortcut that you renamed to its original name. but you can go to your start menue under programs and open the sub menue and arrow down to the item you want and then press your applications key and select send to and arrow down to where it says desk top create short cut and enter on it and it will make a new short cut for the icon that you renamed.
