Did you first have to uninstall MSE 1.0 before installing 2.0? Or did you
just shut down MSE 1.0 before starting the download of MSE 2.0?

Hi all.
Can I point out that Security Essentials 2.0 is officially available from
www.microsoft.com/security_essentials. I have upgraded right now with
initially problems but after a reboot the upgrade was successful and is
now protecting my computer.
Take care.
