HI Yvonne;
As far as the widths of the boxes go, my guess is that Microsoft figures
that you only need to see XAmount of information per box. That is why you
have the option to make them wider if you need to do so.
In the Columns option of the view menu the things that you check will show
up as fields / headers in an email. For example; I only have the
attachments, From, Subject , & Received options checked because that is
all
I want to see in the email fields. If i had the To, Sent, & Size items
checked, then an email would show who I sent the email to, what time I
sent
it, & the size of the email. Those are 3 things I don't need to have
shown
to me. You can experiment with checking & unchecking the different items
just to see which way you prefer your emails to look. Hope this helps.
Take care.
Mike

hello Mike
this may of done the trick
will keep a watch on new email and see if when it reads the subject line
if
it reads part of the body of the message
so far since doing this alteration it has not.
so hopefully this has worked.
i note that some have the same amount of pixels this being 155.
and some have a lower amount which varies as i go from one to the other.
and should they not all be the same for example to, from, subject should
they not all be 155?
and some were checked and a couple were not.
i have checked them all.
is this a wise thing to do?
or will it not make any difference if i check them all
and one last thing why are some checked and some unchecked what is the
difference?
once again thank you for your most valued assistance in things i need to
know and of course this group for being what it is and that is helping
people
Yvonne
