Hey everybody,
I'm using XP SP3 on my Asus netbook and I'm unclear about which power
settings will avail me of the maximum battery life between charges.
Currently, I'm getting only about 45 minutes with the following max
battery settings:
Power Options Properties
Power Schemes Alarms Power Meter Advanced Hibernate
Select the power scheme with the most appropriate settings for
this computer. Note that changing the settings below will modify
the selected scheme.
Power schemes
Always On
Save As... Delete
Settings for Always On power scheme
When computer is: Running on Plugged in batteries
Turn off monitor: After 20 mins After 15 mins
Turn off hard disks: Never After 30 mins
System standby: Never Never
OK Cancel Apply
Normal usage for this netbook is Internet browsing, checking e-mail
and e-book reading, with occasional audio streaming from the web.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
