hello there; well, I finally got the selected problem solved.

On just a laptop keyboard, they get handled a bit differently - if the machine is set to laptop keyboard layout? Another simple way to see if this might be causing it, is to turn on keyboard help - insert/jaws key + number row 1, and then see what keystrokes it reports thereafter.
