Arianna, you can't move it from Other to Network Adaptors yourself,
Windows has to do that for you. I am sure if you arrow to the adaptor in
Other Devices and press the context menu key and arrow to Properties and
press ENTEr and then read the ensuing dialog with the JAWS cursor (or
equivalent) you will find that no driver is installed. No matter what it
won't be recognized in the Network Adaptors section until a proper
adaptor is installed. From your description it almost sounds like a
Netgear WPN111 which most certainly requires a driver to be installed.

OK, do you hear the connection noise when you plug it nto the USB port
and have you tried another port? What about in the device manager, is

Frank, there are no installed drivers with this wifi adapter. I have
used it on other computers with no problem.
I'm looking in network connections where normally there would be
wireless connection. It isn't there.

OK a few things to check. You said it was a USB wifi adaptor, is this
correct? If so did you install the drivers for the adaptor? If yes
then
when you check for wifi networks are you looking in the wifi utility
built into Windows or are you looking at the utility that you
installed
with the drivers?
