Like Janie said, messages that are waiting to be sent will be in outbox, and those that have been sent will be in sent items.

Drafts is generally where a message gets saved if you started composing it, and then decided to close it, but save the current version, until you finish it off later, and tell it to be sent, then it will be moved to the outbox.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Sent/Outbox in Outlook

What is the purpose/usage of having both a "Sent" and "Out Box" in Outlook?
Unsent messages go in Drafts which is good, but I see messages both in Out
Box and Sent? I'd guess it is not built in redundancy and must be a reason
for both.
