Rick,
I have what is supposed to be a really good USB sound card. It's one of the
Creative Labs Sound Blasters and I have found something that I just can't
correct.

My laptop computer has a good sound card in it but the speaker is so small,
that it's a joke. I have plugged the unit into independent speakers and I
have run it, using this sound card with USB. I'm a pretty fast typist and
I have found that when I get free wheeling along, the sound card gets lost
and misses parts of the words I'm typing. I have jaws set on Word
recognition rather than single character. I tried going into the Jaws
system to make sure that the card was properly syncronized but nothing
seems to help. The same problem does not occur when I use the on board
sound card in the laptop.
Just as an experiment, I loaded the drivers into my desktop and connected
the USB card. I got the same annoying results and I just can't figure out
why.
Any ideas would be most welcoem.
