Alan, I have taken a PAC Mate on numerous flights, and have not had a problem. All computers must be taken out of their cases and laid in a bin to go through the scanners, but that has never harmed my machine or the data. A couple of times T S A has pulled me aside to take a closer look at my machine, but I've never had problems getting through. Blessings, Tom
