Okay, but Jim's question was how to get Control Pannel to use first letter
navigation.
Which of those two settings works best?

David,
Which icons should be chosen after that display is used?
You mentioned it in your note but didn't indicate which ones should be
chosen.

Hello there;

Try the following;

1, navigate to the control panel.

2, now shift+tab and enter on cadigory.

Here you can choose,
Small icons, and large icons, make your choice with the arrow keys, Once
you have choice of large or small icons, press enter.

Now you should be able to letter navigate.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] how do I get my control panel to read with first
letter navigation in windows 7 home premium?

Hi all,
Before I had to reformat my hard drive last Saturday, I could go to my
control panel and go to anything using first letter navigation. I am trying
to go to my mail profile, and I can't even find anything related to mail
now. I am using windows 7 home premium, outlook 2007 jaws 12, latest update,
on a 64 bit machine. I need some help here. thanks. Jim For answers to
