No idea why it's not working then - sorry.
What mail client software are you using?
Is the email format set to rich text/HTML?
If using outlook express/windows mail, it should default to looping/playing
at least once automatically.
Lastly, have you tried sending the message to someone else to make sure it's
not your mail server that's blocking it, or that your mail client software
isn't set to do something like display all messages in plain text or
something?
Stay well

Well, here I am again, sigh.
I got it into a wav and did the steps to add to email in background, that
all went as it's suppose to, but when the email returns to me, it does not
play.
I went back to the site and changed the bit rate, but still had same
results.

Not 100% sure, but possible that's the cause.
BTW, here's a free online file conversion site that includes letting you
convert audio files to .wav format etc. - just tested it and it works
fine:
http://www.online-convert.com/
Just choose .wav from drop down box, hit space on Go button, and on next
page browse to upload your MP3 file, and then make changes to other output
settings like bitrate - drop it lower to save file size, but possibly lose
a
bit of sound quality -, and then hit enter on convert button, and then,
for
example, internet explorer activated it notification bar since the file
tried to automatically start downloading, so I hit alt + N, when heard
notification tone, hit space bar and hit enter on download file, and there
you go...<smile>

uh oh.
Well now I forgot to tell y'all something. When I press control F after I
sent it to myself, it starts to play, but it will not play again after
it's sent again, sigh.
So, I need to convert the MP3 to a .wav?

Think it should rather be a .wav sound clip/file to make it through more
mail servers/software etc.

I'm slowly loosing my patience with trying to do this, but it's not
working.
I know I'm doing all the correct steps to put an MP3 in background of an
email, then it starts to play.
But when I try to send it to myself, and it comes back, it does not
play,
grrrr!
What am I doing wrong??
I use to be able to do this, but can't make it work now, can anyone
help?
This is with xp pro, Jaws 12, OE.
Thanks,
Trish
