Had you tried shutting down Jaws and restarting it? Insert F4 and enter. This is where a hot key to the Jaws icon is very handy. Sometimes it is just good to shut it down and restart it with a fresh session.

I run JAWS 10 on XP operating system.

To wake my netbook up I press any key and it immediately gets up, but whatever I continue to press after that, JAWS repeats the same prompt:

"no window is active - press windows key plus m to go to the desktop".

After I pres these keys, nothing happens. And then I press escape key and again nothing new. alt+f4 gives the same result. This is a situation I sometimes encounter and then I know nothing else to carry out but press the power button and so shut down all programmes, although I am aware of the fact that I am not recommended to do it very frequently.

May I ask you whether you have had similar cases -
that is -
do you know how to solve the trouble when, for no apparent reason, computer gets stuck and whatever I would press it stays blocked, with only prompt

press the windows key and m to go to the desktop, and after I do so, nothing changes. What else could I do except press the power button?

Thank you very much indeed for your kind replies.

Best regards from

Miliyana

You can check the following,

And tab okay press enter,
Now, you will have a computer icon,
Username icon,
Example, "Trish,
By the way, you don't need to check them all, just check the one's you wish
to have on the desktop.

I need to ask y'all something about my folder in my name which has stuff in
it, like...my documents, desktop, etc..

If I put a shortcut on the desktop for my documents, but the my documents is
still in my folder, is it the same my documents that's just allowing me
another way to access it?
