I am running Windows 7 Professional and whenever I open a folder on any of my drives, I get the message, Not Responding. For example if I try and open the folder, Downloads, on my C drive, I can navigate a few files but after only a few seconds the message, Downloads Not Responding. If I try and alt f4 out of the folder I get a message saying, Windows Explorer is not responding Windows can check online for a solution. If you restart or close the program, you might lose information. Check for a solution and restart the program. Close the program. Wait for the program to respond. View problem details .
If I click on, check online and restart the program, it shuts down Windows Explorer and I have to reboot. If I click on, wait for the program to respond, I have to wait 5 minutes or so and then I can navigate the folder, but only that folder and if I navigate to a different folder the problem reoccurs. When I click on, view problem details, I get this message: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.
