Really challenging, I am also given to assume that this is not a space, it
might be a tab. If tab indication is on it might be announcing it. But I
tried this on my computer, no such thing happened.

Try this too:
Hit Insert and the J key to bring up the JAWS context menu, Under Utilities,
hit enter on Settings Center. Tab out of the edit box and scroll to where it
says Text Processing.

Use the right arrow to open the tree, and scroll to Speech And Sounds
Schemes. Again use the right arrow to open the tree and check under Active
Speech and Sounds Scheme, it should be listed as classic. If not use the
spacebar to make the change. Tab till you get to the OK button and hit
enter.

My last resort would be to repair JAWS, from the set up file, just make sure
that your settings are not changed when doing the repair. Launch the setup
file and in the installation dialog box you should have an option to repair.

I found the "format" section in tree view.
I scrolled down to test some of the settings but to no avail.
I still, for example, hear 72 points or 75 points before JAWS reads a line
when using the up or down arrow if the sentence has a space in front of it.

Thanks.

Rich
