Hi.
In the sticks game you always get to go first.
The key to winning is to force your opponent to take from a multiple of four
sticks plus one.
If there are five sticks, your opponent will take 1-3, leaving you with 2, 3
or 4, you can then take 1-3 and give your opponent the last stick.
You can also do this if there are 9, 13, 17 or 21. So if the game starts
with 23 sticks, take 2 and then always give your opponent a multiple of four
plus one.
If played correctly player two should always win.
