Lazy or not motivated to develop anymore. I mean, imagine having to sit at a
computer from 9 to 5 at the office, and then when you come home you have
another computer and project to do. After a month, and knowing that we are
going to brag about whatever they release, that someone will crack it etc,
they just stop. A lot of them did those games while teenagers, including
Philip, Gomez and I think Liam, Tom and Jim were not but they had other
issues, we don't know much about work and lives of David and some others,
and that's it.
I get it as I myself started learning to code relatively recently. It is a
pane in the back to sit and do something even simplest if you are not
motivated. For just a simple side-scrolling shooter you would have to do a
few hundred lines of code, let alone something more complex. And if I make a
sidescrolling fps as my first project, everyone is going to say something
like: ah, we have a lot of it, blah blah. So I will not do it at all. And if
I don't experiment with something simple, I am not going to try doing
something more complex because of posible bugs and other things, and the old
developers don't have more time and motivation anymore to develop.
Sorry to say that, but that is how it is...
