Hi Robert,
Pleased you are enjoying Sable so far. Thanks for your helpful tips. I’ll answer your questions below: -as you mentioned you can move to a specific location instantly using shift and l. you can also through the edit menu (alt and E) choose to view all objects and panning sounds on your map and be instantly moved to them. If you want the ability to move freely between different maps. Simply save your current map, bring up the game menu (escape key) and select load map, here you can select which map you want to be moved to. - as for feature requests, the alpha testing is really focused around functionality rather than features, specifically looking for bugs and issues. Although if anyone has any ideas you can always email me directly at i...@ebonskystudios.com <mailto:i...@ebonskystudios.com> . -regarding the second generation of Sable, I want to try and keep the focus on this current version at the moment, rather than looking too far into the future, since this is the one everyone is currently using and before we look at new versions of sable we first need to see how successful this prototype is. (Page 4) - New releases room - AudioGames.net Forum Also, am I the only one who has trouble placing buildings so that they line up with roads? LOL! I'm so so so bad at X and Y Axis, but I'm slowly getting the hang of X and Y and spacial relations. What can I say, I fear I'm always gonna be slow grasping coordinates. But, again, I'm extremely, extremely, impressed with the engine so far! A few tips that weren't explained well in the user guide, * When selecting a terrain, pressing shift, then enter, on the list item, will cause whatever you put down to have a label associated with it. This label will persist until you change terrain types in the terrain menu. This is handy for naming roads and ponds and otherwise, both for you and your players. * When laying down terrain, if holding down the shift key is hard for you, you can press shift E, egg, and it will automatically place the terrain wherever you move. To exit this automatic mode, hit shift E again. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
