Maybe I'm just old and set in my ways, but clients like vipmud or the others 
you have mentioned are far too complex for my needs. G mud is probably not much 
more than a glorified telnet client, but it does everything I needed to do, and 
it works beautifully. Just my opinion, of course. :-)
