Heh, me too, I use tintin on linux for most mudding.  I used to use one called muddle, until it quit compiling with the later versions of linux.  I could probably fix it if I wanted to dig into the code enough, but it's easier to just stick with something that works, and although tintin was initially intended for diku style muds which I generally avoid, it still works well for most muds.  Again, like your gmud, it's mostly a telnet client with scripting capabilities, which I never use, mostly because I never found a manual explaining the scripting, but it does work for aliases and actions, which I do use, otherwise, it's no different from plain telnet, which I do still use from time to time if I don't feel like logging into my linux boxes first.

Maybe I'm just old and set in my ways, but clients like vipmud or the others you have mentioned are far too complex for my needs. G mud is probably not much more than a glorified telnet client, but it does everything I needed to do, and it works beautifully. Just my opinion, of course. :-)

I've used MudRammer before, but yeah, it definitely helps to have a Windows computer with a good MUD client, like Mush-client, with a sound pack if the MUD has one.

I have never seriously tried to play a mud on my iPhone. I have a mud client, I think, but I can't even remember the last time I used it. what iPhone software are you trying to use to play muds? In theory, though, especially if you have a Bluetooth keyboard, it should work exactly the same as it would in windows or anything else, or at least I think that would be the case. I know there are quite a few players on discworld who use a screen reader, but I don't know how many of them are trying to play from an I device. I could try to play a little bit with my Bluetooth keyboard and see what happens. I, personally, use an antique program called G mud under windows 10. There are some jaws Scripps that make it work very well, so I would only want to play on my phone if I could be guaranteed a similar experience. Best of luck, and let me know if you were able to get it to work.
