Hi Gene, you do get to write the program yourself if you have a project ready to go.
In the past, I lost a huge amount of time teaching people how to code for the system, who then didn't deliver a game. I used to devote every Sunday to having zoom calls with game developers, but after 18 months and perhaps 30 developers, we didn't have anything worth releasing. I found high quality people who were app developers, or who had worked on XBox and Playstation games, but it turned out they were coders and not storytellers. Typically, they either couldn't write stories, didn't have experience with drama, or couldn't produce the audio files. Many of them thought they could make an Audio Adventures game in a few hours, not realising the size of the projects. As a result, I will now only spend time showing people how to use the software when they have a solid project ready to go. If you have the project planned and have made temporary audio tracks, then we can code most games in a few hours. The planning is massive, the coding is super simple, but its only simple if you have the game planned out. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
