Hi James,

Good question. I will explain for all to understand why we are counting cq and
the Void a loss and are moving on and not producing the games.

I do not own the rights to the source code to the games, just the right to sell
the games and to the names of the games.

cq was written in c++ by contract workers and they own the source code, I do
not. I own the writes to the game title and to sell it but not the source code.

The void was being programmed by a developer from Valve. Once half-life 2 began
production we were put off due to his schedule of which we gracefully accepted
since he is big guns. He came back to us after half-life 2 was released but did
not have the time to complete the game and basically let us know he would not
be completing it. In addition to this he owned the rights to the source
code/engine and we did not.

At that point we contacted another accessible game company to try to save cq
and team up to complete cq and write it from scratch but that did not work out
either.

After these disappointing and frustrating events, and there were more than
this, I have to painfully count my losses and move on.

Just to let everyone know we fought like hell to keep the games alive and did
all we could. We exhausted our resources and have to count our losses and
painfully move on.

I have no plans to program the Void or cq myself. I do not have the time and
that was why I contracted out the work. In addition to this I need something
new and fresh to keep my flame lit! Based on that, I do have plans to start
production on a new game in 2006. However, this time around I am going to
program the game myself to make certain it gets finished!

Hard and extremely painful lesson learned. Sometimes when you want things done
correctly you have to do it yourself!
