Hello again, A note on skills all skills have some kind of list revealing The diffaculty challenge or DC of various actions. On average a 10 to 15 is around an average challenge If you consider a first level character can have on average between four to eight total ranks in a skill a ten DC isn't very hard. A tenth level character will have on average a 12 to 17 total rank in a skill you can see how the DC progression might need to increase in order to challenge higher level characters. In the end, it is the DM who gets the feel for the DC of any particular situation. Also, certain skills can be used against others with skills that might oppose them. Sort of like hide and search, slieght of hand and spot, intimidate and sense motive. In addition, some skills provide a synergy bonus. Tumble and jump for example give each other a +2 bonus if one of the other skills are owned by the player and are at least at 5 ranks.
Note on skill checks: A natural twenty is not always a success, and a roll of 1 is not always a failure. This is the only time this rule applies in the game. allan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas Ward" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 11:49 AM Subject: Re: audyssey: Roll Playing Games. > Hi, allan. > The free VB .net is VB .net Express and I am sure you canfind it on > Microsoft.com somewhere.
