You don't know how hard a game is until you try it. To say that a game looks harder than it looks makes no sense. To say that a game is! harder than it first appears to be is totally different. To some people, chess is not as hard as checkers. If you watch people playing a game, it may seem difficult to follow until you learn the game. Chess is not all that hard to learn how to play, but how to play it well is another matter. But to see a board with pieces on it would not indicate how hard a game is to play. What determines a game's difficulty is the set of rules and the obstacles, not it's appearance.
