I have wondered about a term that appears in many games. Do you have an
idea where the word teleport comes from? Is this only a term use din
games or can we as humans teleport in real life? Do we have the ability
to teleport? Sorry if this sounds a bit off topic but this word really
fascinates me. If I understand it correctly teleport means to just
disappear to another place. You don't travel, you don't walk, you don't
ride in a vehicle. You just disappear. On tv I listened to a show
where someone told how he got it right to leave his body. His spirit
flies in the sky and he was able to visit other places while his spirit
was drifting along apart from his body. Then he told that if he don't
get into his body in time another spirit might take possession of his
body. But I assume that has to do with spiritism. If I could teleport
from my home to my work I would never have travel problems. At this
stage I'm using a lift club for which I have to contribute monetarily.
If humans could teleport like in games our transport problems as blind
people will come to anend. We will never have to learn travel skills
such as walking with a stick. If anyone can shed more light on the word
teleport it will be interesting. Is it a word game developers made up
or is there such a thing such as teleporting in real life?
