Hi Allan,
I do a bit of programming, and I do it on the same system I use for
gaming, listening to music, etc. If you only have one computer yu're fine.
The reason I do it all on the same system, is because my main computer is a
laptop. Doing any and all coding on the laptop enables me to take my work
with me more easily. I do have another computer for audio production work,
but that's the only computer that I use on a regular basis that is
designated for a specific purpose. I wouldn't worry about it.
