I just did mine and I use hot water and just dump it on the ice works very well and then I have water to clean the thing out with. Once the ice is gone I pull the plug and it drains, then wipe it out, put the plugs back in it and away it goes. Takes me about 15 minutes.

I have a rainbow vacume that I can hook the hose to the blower and put the hose in the bottom of the freezer, this would give me a steady flow of room temperature. Since I do not have air conditioning this would end up being probably 75 to 85 degrees any feed back?
