I should add a couple of details about this panel cutter, now that I'm thinking about it.
There are times when I have wanted to push some board stock, on edge, through a dado blade on the table saw. This can be a problem since the panel cutter has a back edge reveal of only three-quarters of an inch. What I've done is drilled a couple of holes through the back edge of the panel cutter, through which I can pass a couple of carriage bolts, fastened with wing nuts to the back side of the panel cutter edge. The heads of the carriage bolts are countersunk on the work-facing side of a one-by board. This gives me the necessary surface to handle one-by and two-by boards with enough stability to pass through the dado blade on the table saw. I've even gone so far as to clamp the work to this panel cutter back edge extension. It actually works quite well. Did I explain that okay? --Barry To listen to the show archives go to link http://acbradio.org/handyman.html or ftp://ftp.acbradio.org/acbradio-archives/handyman/ The Pod Cast address for the Blind Handy Man Show is. http://www.acbradio.org/news/xml/podcast.php?pgm=saturday The Pod Cast address for the Cooking In The Dark Show is. http://www.gcast.com/u/cookingindark/main.xml Visit The New Blind Handy Man Files Page To Review Contributions From Various List Members At The Following Address: http://www.jaws-users.com/handyman/ Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the Blind Handy Man list just send a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
