Dale, I am not familiar with the watch you mentioned but thought I would tell you about a possible repair. I have had watches that open at the six o'clock position and like you said "sort of pin type roller to hold the lid shut". The watches that I have actually use a watch band pin as the latch. Maybe a Jeweler could replace or modify the pin that is there so it will latch better. This has worked for me in the past. Art
