Hi list,

My house is on a hill and the ground in the back rises so that my
crawl space vents are , slightly, below ground. As many may know this
sort of structure has a wall of bricks around the perimeter of the
vents in a manner which is called a well. I can actually
sit comfortably on these brick walls surrounding the vents. Well,
Every fall I get lots of leaves in these wells. I want to build
frames with a screen material to place on top of these wells to catch
the leaves so I can easily dump them off, instead of digging all the
leaves out. So, what ideas do you have to make the screens in a
manner to serve my purpose and still be strong enough to stand up to
the task. I don't feel just the screen material will be strong enough
to sustain the weight of the leaves on their own. Might need some
sort of frame work of rods or something.

I feel I may need to use pressure treated wood. What do all of you think.

Thanks.
