I have found PB Blaster to work quite well on rusted lug nuts and some other
rusted nuts and bolts. However there are some situations that I had that it
didn't work so well, one just happens to be the same as yours. I changed a
fuel filter on a 89 S 10 Blazer that was years over do to be changed The filter
is mounted on the frame just in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side. I
sprayed it with PB Blaster and let it soak over night for a couple of days. I
used a tubing wrench so as not to round off the flare nut. I didn't round it
off but ended up twisting the gas line. I ended up cutting out the filter far
enough behind and forward of the filter so that I could replace it with rubber
gas line hose. I clamped the rubber hose to the cut line and made up a couple
of pieces of copper tubing that I flared one end of and put a flare nut on.. I
clamped the other end of the rubber gas line hose to the cut end of the piece
of copper and then attached the flare nuts to the new filter, replaced the
rusty bolt that holds the mounting bracket to the frame and then had a beer.

I recently purchased a can of PB blaster.
I was told it was incredibly affective on rusted and corroded nuts and
  bolts.
I tried it on my fuel filter for my s10.
after about 4 attempts I had to run it down to my local mechanic who had to
resort to heating it with an acetylene torch. oofta , Not some thing I
would do, but that is why he gets paid the big bucks.
So is this stuff just not as good as they say or are there times when just
nothing is going to work period?
I did use it also on the tail gate latch and it worked very well, but it was
not that badly corroded just a little bit dry. after all it is almost 18
  years old.
