Hi Lenny, Modern electronic clock movements will not go backward. They use a quarts timer to generate pulses at very precise intervals.
It may be that there are battery motor driven clocks but I very much doubt it, if for no other reason than the battery drain. Years ago I remember battery clocks which used a device of some sort to wind a mechanical device, not sure if it was a magnet to draw a weight up or to tighten a spring but again, the escapement mechanism can only work in one direction. I will be interested to hear of some way of doing that.
