Larry congratulations on the finishing of your project. I like Blind mans bluff because it accents what a blind man can do rather than the worn out notion of what a blind man can't do. Since you are entertaining other names here is one that you may or may not like but how about blind mans gruff.
I have a 1991 gmc Jimmy with a good 4.3 motor that I have been canablizing and I want to find some thing to put this motor in just to give me some thing to do that I have not done before. This will be the first time I have attempted to swap motors on my own. I am sure I will need a second pair of hands for some of the project but I want to do the bulk of it on my own. My question for you is what are my options for what I can put it in. So far what I am sure I can put it in with out a lot of changes are. Another Jimmy or a Chevy s10 or a gmc s15. Are there any cars that I could bolt this into? Keep in mind that I do not have the expertise to do any real modifying, more than say changing out the computer if needed. Any suggestions. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Larry Stansifer Sent: Friday, February 09, 2007 2:51 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [BlindHandyMan] Race car project Robert, Actually, the El Camino turned out better than I hoped. My little-bitty small block 383-CID stroker motor is making well north of 440HP and 410FTLB of torque. It's first time out of the shop it put a brand new factory super-charged Roush mustang on the trailer. I am putting the finishing touches on the interior and the bed with hopes of entering it in a southwestern regional car show in Vegas in two weeks. They tell me it needs a name. I am kind of partial to either Blind Man's Bluff, Evil Camino or Hell Camino however, I am entertaining suggestions. Other than what I call them when they don't go together right I have never really named one of my projects. Wasn't it a camaro? Or was that the Elcamino? So how did that ever turn out?
