Dale, forgive me if I asked you this once before.

I went to sears.com to buy one of these just last Tuesday, and even
added it into my cart, when I read the specs which say it's for
right-side-bladed saws only. I thought about it a bit, and couldn't
really figure out why there would be a difference in using it on a right
or left side bladed saw, but then I chickened out.

The specs weren't clear about how you could use it for cross-cuts too
without removing it, but the sliding guide you mention solves that
question.

So, again, any reason this can't be used on a left-bladed saw?

Thanks, and again, sorry if this was asked and answered already.

Ok, so the saw and the guide move together to make the cut. Is there
some sort of rail system or a device where the device stays put and
the saw moves along it that doesn't cost a bundle?
